Introducing the new Disney100 collection from Disney Traditions by Jim Shore

As the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve and the clock struck midnight taking us into the early hours of 2023, the celebration of The Walt Disney Company’s centenary kicked off, during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC. Dubbed ‘100 Years of Wonder’, Disney100 is the largest cross-company celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company, marking 10 decades of movies, magic and memorable moments with our favourite characters, that are sure to last the next 100 years and more! Now, to celebrate the occasion, everyone’s favourite pal has been given a fresh new look that is suitably silver and shiny for the centenary of the Walt Disney World Company…

The new Disney100 collection from Disney Traditions by Jim Shore sees Mickey Mouse presented in ways you’ve never seen before. And while this new look may be a temporary update for the 100^th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, as only Jim can, he has still managed to capture the wonderful characteristics of Mickey Mouse and his friends, that are known and loved by many across the generations and over 10 decades of time!

New into the Disney100 collection is the Disney100 Mickey Mouse Statue. Standing at 45.0cm tall on top of a specially decorated base with carvings in shades of black, white and red, Mickey is presented with his iconic gloved hands on the hips of his shorts, with a wide smile and warm expression across his face, as if inviting you to come and join this very special celebration. Hand carved and hand painted, this new Jim Shore Mickey Mouse statue features all the hallmarks you’d expect of the award-winning designer, with rosemaling detail and motifs inspired by American folk art. But, just for the special 100 Years of Wonder celebration, the Disney100 Mickey Mouse Statue features silver detailing throughout the design, making this piece every bit fit for this landmark occasion.

As well as the Disney100 Mickey Mouse Statue, also new into the Disney100 collection is the Disney100 Mickey Mouse Figurine. Standing at 9.0cm tall, Mickey is presented with the same silver short detailing and special chequered silver and black patterning to his ears. Again, with hands on his hip and a broad smile on his face, Mickey is looking off into the distance, as if reminiscing back in wonder, recounting memories of the past 100 years of the Walt Disney Company.

Plus, this presentation of Mickey Mouse is also available as a hanging figurine. Step forward: the epic All Aboard the Centennial Train. Standing at 26.0cm tall, the centre of the piece is shaped like the silhouette of Mickey Mouse’s head, with the words ‘Disney 100 Years of Wonder’ engraved across it in a lovely cursive style, presented in shades of silver and highlighted with accents of soft pink.

With Mickey’s silhouette forming the centrepiece of the figurine, the rest of the piece features a circular base surrounding the ‘Disney 100 Years of Wonder’ sign, to create the tracks for a very special celebratory train!
