A Daring Dreamer

When you think of a Disney Princess, you probably think of courage, kindness, determination and a little bit of magic. They all seem to have those qualities in common. That—and, of course, a great singing voice! But what I love most is that each Princess has her own personality, passions and story to tell. 

That’s the inspiration behind my Deluxe Enchanted Princess collection. I try to capture the qualities that make these heroines so special while focusing on the details that make each one unique. These are larger, more detailed designs, giving me the chance to really explore the characters and their stories. 

And I love them all, but I have to say Rapunzel is one of my personal favourites! In Tangled, she’s curious, creative, determined and ready to step outside her tower to discover the world—and herself. I wanted this design to reflect that spirit of adventure while celebrating the things that make Rapunzel instantly recognisable. 

Her flowing golden hair is, naturally, the star of the piece, winding and curling around her with braided sections and colourful flowers. Her lavender gown is covered with flowing scrollwork and floral details inspired by her artistic personality, while the lacing and puffed sleeves bring her familiar look to life. And in her hand, she holds the golden lantern, a reminder of the dream that inspired her to finally leave the tower and find her true family. 

She may have spent most of her life in a tower, but Rapunzel was never afraid to dream big—or sing about it! I hope this design captures a little of that same adventurous spirit. Take a look and let me know what you think!
