Spring is approaching…

With spring slowly starting to appear, the promise of longer days, warmer weather and the return of beautiful flowers is just around the corner!

The natural world has always been an inspiration for Jim’s work — the intertwining of flowers and vines with his signature rosemaling and traditional quilting motifs adorn many a piece in his collection — and spring is the perfect time to admire these little details.

As the days start to get warmer, now is the perfect time to bring some of that freshness into your home with pieces like Bouncing Into Spring, featuring a joyful Snoopy playing in pastel flowers. This piece would be perfect next to a vase of matching flowers, great for brightening up and corner of your home.

Or maybe you’ve had your eye on the brand new Peter Rabbit with Daffodils. The iconic yellow flowers are a sign that spring has sprung, and we can’t wait to see them each year. Whilst Jim has taken his inspiration from Beatrix Potter’s original artwork, did you know, Jim also visited Beatrix Potter World on one of his trips to the UK? This gave him a chance to get up close to some of the iconic characters, learn more about Beatrix herself and experience some of our lovely Cumbrian weather!

And with the changing of the seasons, we also start to see Easter appearing. With the magic of newborn little chicks, cute bunnies, and those delicious Easter eggs, it’s a colourful sight to see! But the importance of this time of year should not be forgotten. It is a time of re-birth, of new life and a time to show our thanks and love to the friends and family around us.

So, with that in mind, we look forward to the changing of the season — too long days spent with those that we care about — and the world around us awakening.
